Just wanted to post up my latest Hello Kitty goodies from the $1 bin at Target!  I was so disappointed at the Target I went to last weekend because there was barely any Hello Kitty goodies but at the Target I went to tonight there was a bunch of stuff!  I must have gotten $10 worth of stuff.  I wonder what the lady who was scanning the purchases was thinking.  LOL.

I’m looking forward to going to NYC next month and hit up some stores that sell cute Hello Kitty stuff!   I’m sure there’s way more than what they have in South FL.

So yesterday I went to buy a Hello Kitty gift for the Hello Kitty Exchange/Swap and I was pretty disappointed at the Sanrio store because when I went in there were boxes in the back of the store all just sitting there blocking a shelf of stuff!  I really hope she likes the gift I got because it’s just a mix of stuff I liked the best.  I didn’t even find much for myself, but that’s ok.  Hopefully they’ll have some Hello Kitty stuff at Target in the $1 bin I heard they just restocked on!

I also went to Urban Outfitters and got one of the Series 2 Hello Kitty figurines.  For $8 its kind of expensive but it’s a limited edition figurine so I guess I understand.  There were also Series 1 figurines but most of the boxes were opened which kind of annoyed me.  No one likes to be surprised these days, I guess?  Well I got mine and it’s super cute, except for one thing.  Hello Kitty has a pink scratch across her forehead and I can’t rub it out.  Oh well.

Hopefully I’ll have more luck at the Sanrio store at the other mall, but I have to wait until next payday, which is at the end of the month.

So over at Hello Kitty Junkies, which is a social network where Hello Kitty lovers hang out, there was a gift exchange swap and I joined it. My gift giver was the one who started the social network, which I think I totally lucked out on! I think her site is great and the fact that I could get to know other people who love Hello Kitty as much as I do is something I am thankful to her for! The package totally made my day and was full of Hello Kitty cuteness!

Anyway, here is what I got.

I love the Hello Kitty plush and the little stars in the little Hello Kitty containers. I remember making these stars when I was younger but then I kind of forgot how to make them, amongst other things. I used to do origami too! UGH. You don’t understand how much I am itching to be creative again. Well, for starters, I’m going to take a beginners sewing class this weekend, and I got some canvas bags to try some stenciling. I’m kind of scared to tell you the truth because art stores are really intimidating and I even got upset when I wasn’t sure what to get for stenciling! But of course, I am bound to make mistakes and that’s ok, as long as I get it down eventually. Can you tell I’m kind of a perfectionist? Anyways, that’s my story. I’m excited!!

I honestly have never heard the word Kawaii, until recently. I just thought maybe they accidentally mixed the H with a K. Anyway, Kawaii means "Cute" in Japanese and has become this whole type of culture, I guess just like Harajuku. I could be wrong, but that’s the impression I get. Anyways, I came across these really cute webcomics by Kawaii Not and OMG some are so funny I literally LOL’d at my desk at work!

Here are my favorites. I love the sense of humor! I totally get it.

There’s some new Hello Kitty for Tokidoki items on the Sanrio site!

I love the Hello Kitty in the cactus suit.  Green is my favorite color!

The Hello Kitty for Tokidoki line is pretty pricey, but you can always try your luck on eBay!  The whole fun of it is trying to win the item!
